Ruby- throated hummingbirds are crowding the nectar feeders as they pour through on their migration to South America.
However, things really got exciting when this copper colored rufous showed up last evening. We had one stay with us the entire winter last year. And I really want to believe he has returned, but one never really knows with hummingbirds unless they are banded.
He is stunning and bold--and has claimed a feeder for himself. So happy that he is here!
