Looked up while eating lunch and finally spied which tree was struck by lightning. It struck the tallest live oak tree on the place----there appears to be only some bark knocked from the tree----I hope there is no deeper damage to the tree. The side of the house toward the tree felt the concussion, and I was certain it had hit the house--this was close enough!--not the first time lightning has struck trees very near the house--several have been killed--and we have lost quite a few appliances over the years.
