Just a few notes --mostly wildlife and nature--maybe a bit of musing about life in general

a little blue
The blues have arrived--making me so happy!
Indigo buntings and a blue grosbeak at the feeder --there are often 4 or 5 buntings in the yard at the same time--glorious time of the year!
What a treat. I never see these birds. Those that come to sample my chow are a more common variety. I have been fortunate in having a pair of Cardinals favor us here.
I like your bird feeders. I have seen them before and wondered if similar ones might be available for purchase somewhere in the area.
I don't know if these birds are in your range--they both breed here and are fond of brushy areas next to pastures. They probably won't keep coming to the feeders much after they establish territories and find mates, but I have had a grosbeak use the feeder all summer once. The feeder is supposed to be squirrel proof--but they never quit trying to conquer it. I bought it at walmart. The photos were taken thru my dirty windows with a panasonic lumix--which is a point and shoot, but a has a nice little zoom.

Did you take those photos with your Elfe camera?

Wouldn't mind having those particular blues.
