Continuing north of Santa Fe, we drove through Georgia O'Keefe country. We didn't stop to see her place this time since we were rushing to catch fall color and it was disappearing fast. We vacationed in this area many years ago, often spending time in Colorado, too. Sadly I found that the altitude affected my heart and made it ache. So I had to take most of my photos from the car. So please overlook the bug splats on the windshield. The colors are stunning and the landforms intriguing. It makes me want to turn artist every time I see it. Maybe I will try the Grandma Moses thing and become an untrained artist in my senior years.
Just a few notes --mostly wildlife and nature--maybe a bit of musing about life in general

The scenery is different up that way, isn't it? I like the area around Santa Fe and Taos and Chama. Is this heart problem you noticed before going into the high country? I enjoy your blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bill.
ReplyDeleteI have heart murmur or mvp--and lately some bouts of atrial fibrillation. I take meds for it. I haven't been to the Rockies for years because the last time I went it all acted up.
I thought I might sneak up on the altitude and be able to see some of my favorite places. I did alright until I got excited and began running around to take photos.
