Just a few notes --mostly wildlife and nature--maybe a bit of musing about life in general

Hill Country Lavender
The small lavender farm struggles to exist in the dry Texas climate. It has been a challenge with the recent droughts. Every spring I visit just to sniff the pungent fragrance and buy a few soaps.
Saw beautiful fields of the stuff in Provence. The lavender in my garden refuses to grow this year. Whatever the problem is it's certainly not drought!
I would so love to see the fields of Provence! Lavender doesn't grow in the moist climate of Louisiana. But it is surviving in Texas, if not thriving. I think the heat last summer was too intense. It certainly was dry enough!
