At the bottom of our hill is a small grove of hickory trees. They are attractive all year long--in the summer the leaves are exceedingly large and the bark a deep brown or black, but in fall the leaves turn a brilliant glowing gold. It is difficult to capture the beauty with a camera though I try every fall.
